2018 & 2019!
This is as far back as I've been making the yearly summaries. I went freelance in late 2016 - these are like a little diary of how my new career path was going.

Looking back at 2024, my art journey was pretty wild. I did make some fine upgrades in terms of anatomy, detail and texture, and made bigger leaps in composition and backgrounds. Still, a lot of room for improvement.

So, 2025, more art, and finally finish writing my book!

I collected one of the most representative artworks I completed each month, I thought this was a cute format! August and September each I think those artworks were the only ones I finished, due to an international move, two conventions and a lung infection.

You can see quite a mix of styles and mediums, I really like playing with different things. It keeps it fun and interesting for me! I look forward to seeing what 2025 brings!

Another year down, let's go baybeee!!

I feel overall very pleased with my art this year! Nothing extraordinary happened this year art-wise, but I had a decent consistency again, which I'm always pleased with. Everything I made this year, big or small, I was pretty happy with! But man, those early year pieces feel like I made them so long ago!! This year was so slow for me up until around October then it felt like you blinked and missed it!

The biggest disappointment this year was lack of comic updates. I've already vented about this, but in the end, it is what it is! I am still very happy with what I DID do, and I'm glad I updated at all, so that's a plus!

The biggest success this year is my streaming schedule! For the whole year I was able to keep up my weekly streams aside from when I was away from home or ill! This was a HUGE deal for me, since I have been trying to stream consistently for years now. My stress on commissions has VASTLY decreased since doing it!

Upcoming goals:
• Dedicating 2 days a week to comic work. Sundays and Tuesdays I think is what I'll do? I'll be starting that within the next couple weeks once I finish my last bit of owed 2024 stuff!
• Continue Thursday streams, but adding a personal piece at the end of every stream. Either a stage of a big piece, or something goofy!
• Tentative goal: Gaming streams. Not 100% sure how I'll fit this in, but I would like to!
• Tentative goal 2: Finally finish my unfinished projects. I keep this up as a "hopefully" every year lol

Now for the rundown:
January - Funny com is funny :3c
February - Got really into Neopets hardcore around this time!
March - Also pokemans :3c
April - Love doing pretty scenes like this one!
May - Possibly one of my fav commissions of the year!
June - Experimental coms that were so much fun!
July - Art Fight success once again!!
August - Wanted to slip in at least one comic page, as I was proud of the pages I did!
September - Did this piece on stream and it was a hoot, and very fun!
October - Did so many great Halloweeny Monster coms this month, so it was super hard to pick one!
November - I did a few traditional pieces for MFF's Art Show, and this one was my fav!
December - And would you look at that?? An Arpeggio art?? In 2024?? Hell yeah. B)

I'm impressed with the amount of work I got done last year. This year, my goal is to publish some of my webcomic and get better with backgrounds!

I think Black Squires and some other one-shot pages are my best work from this year, but I only picked illustrations for this summary.

For 2025, I want to continue the comic.

2024 Douglas cat´s Art summary

This year was more complicated than I expected, but not necessarily in a bad way.  
I learned a lot and stepped far out of my comfort zone. I met many friends, made new connections. I attended only a few events, but I gave my all at each one of them.  
I had pleasant moments, and some not-so-great ones. I experienced ups and downs, but I never felt alone. I received everyone’s support, and that made things much easier to handle.  
I ventured into using programs I never thought I’d try—even drawing on a Nintendo Switch, haha—and I did a lot of fursuiting.  
I’d like to make a special mention to my Patreons for supporting me so much during this time, to my friends, and to you for reading and enjoying my content. It really motivates me. I read every comment and every piece of feedback. Thank you so much! I hope to keep creating for all of you. Thank you for allowing me to dream and to keep learning.
