In an effort to break the one thing that still works in Facebook (and the only reason anyone is still on the platform), FB has added mandatory "Group AI" to each private group. Not only is this intrusive, but the AI is hilariously incompetent.
Like, we had someone in our neighborhood group ask "Are there any beekeepers in the neighborhood?" and the AI commented with a list of statistics about beekeeping in the United States.

I've started to see a few cyclists in my area wearing jackets that are made of some incredibly reflective material. They really shine in my headlights.
But a study at Insurance Institute for Highway Safety found that the AI systems in cars have a harder time recognizing people in reflective clothes. "The clothing that makes pedestrians stand out to human drivers may make them invisible to automated crash prevention systems."

It fucking wanted a red sphere and goddamn if it would let me tell it not to draw one!
I applied a "Disney 3D character" style just for shits.
I got a chrome sphere with some vaguely green munchkin-lookin' thing on it.

Goes hand in hand with measuring "lines of code" and "number of commits" for each worker, instead of problems solved and features delivered. Those LLMs sure can generate lines of code!
