Just finished and shelved my 121st journal/sketchbook/art playground. I started journaling in earnest when I was 16, but there are a few earlier ones. I've used all kinds of books, but now pretty much stick to a rotation through all the Stillman and Birn softcover 8" x 10" books. # 121 was a gray toned Nova series, and I'm currently using an Epsilon series book.

I struggle with staying and expressing more abstract so i try doing that more often.

The picture depicts the feeling that one speaks a language that has kind of the the wrong form to be understood by others and same goes for your personality as a whole. You try throwing more words out, but to no avail.

Ich habe mich in etwas mehr Abstraktion versucht, und habe das auch genutzt, ein wenig mit dem Mischen von Farben nach Farbtheorie herumzuüben.

Bei dem Bild geht es um das Gefühl, dass man selbst+die Sprache, die man verwendet auf eine Art wahrgenommen wird, die sich oft von der Umgebung unterscheidet und man hat das Gefühl, dass man viel ausgibt, aber nichts davon so wirklich durchkommt. Man ist aber unfähig, in anderen Formen zu kommunizieren.

I admit defeat. An international art supplier recently opened their contest where you buy a random pen set and do An Art with it.

Of course I bought something more while I was at it!

Yesterday I turned in my piece. Friends, they proudly announced that they're selling their _advent calendars! Full of arting goodies!_

Did it work? Of course it worked!

So be aware if you're entering stuff for Pen Store's competition today; they will hit you where it hurts the most.

Looking for a A3 scanner on Swedish sites is a battle of typing "A3 scanner" into search engines and be directed to multi-printers that prints in A3 but scans in A4. Since I love working in A3 and don't want to waste time double scan etc; does anyone have a tip on a good flatbed scanner that scans A3 (330×483mm/13"×19")? I'm surveying the market so money is not an issue (yet).

In an ornate heart-shaped gold frame, a watercolor featuring a distinctive U-shaped glacial valley with rounded peaks on either side, with a bonus mountain peak in the distance in the middle. It starts in assorted shades of green at the base, in the glen, and moving up to browner and purple toward the tops of the peaks. The sky is blue, fading from very light at the horizon to more bold toward the top.

A photograph upon which the previous panting was based - an image of several verdant mountain peaks in a distinctively U-shaped glacial valley. 1. A really cool tree I saw in Clontarf (Ireland) - I really like up-tree shots, and this one had an impressive canopy.

2. Glencoe (Scotland) - I can't do justice to just how pretty it is, in real life.

3. Giant's Causeway (Northern Ireland) - I loved watching the waves explode over the far end of it.

Since it's still fresh in my memory, I did Karlinn (that little bird-covered island right off the coast of Valahnúkur, on the #Reykjanes peninsula)

Ok; I can't find my old mobile where I've stored the pics I planned to use, I set up the tripod and immediately felt too tired to go on, and when I fired up my old tablet for backup pics the entire gallery was deleted. (By who? Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️) I think I'll just have to give myself a gold star for trying and do my test filming tomorrow.
