In many spiritual circles, the concept of cycles is all-pervading. I’ve heard countless people say something along the lines of “life is a spiral; you encounter similar patterns as you circle upwards in consciousness.” Indeed, I agree that a spiral in many ways is preferable to a circle, and yet I do not believe it to always be a resonant descriptor for the complex array that is universal consciousness.
Instead of shapes involving lines, I like to conceptualize my life trajectory as a vast multidimensional web, intertwining with both things I can perceive and things I cannot perceive. I am not bound by a single trajectory. I am not bound by a set of arbitrary rules or standards. I am not subservient to one mode of showing up in the world.
Through the web I remain myself, accepted unconditionally in all shapes, colours, and forms. Through the web I am sacred in my rage, in my changeability, and even in my deepest pain.

It is a newer kind of domination, one that needs to be meticulously maintained through hushed secrets and hidden agendas. We are all conditioned by this force. It is a force that claims power comes from the intellect, from the careful manipulation of others. We absorb and internalize this repugnant stench, attempting to wield our words like weapons for the sole purpose of harm. Are there other ways of channeling power? What are these other ways?
In learning more about the goddesses of ancient history, I’ve come to appreciate the multifaceted nature of the feminine. Goddesses cannot be reduced down to one category (unlike their masculine counterparts). They are both creators and destroyers, nurturers and battle strategists. Their power comes from more than just duality; it is a power so deeply intertwined with cosmic infinity that words evade to capture its significance.
