So... I've owned an #AtariSTFM from its birth. I can now potentially get my hands on an STE. Should I buy it? #RetroGaming
I'm privileged enough to have a 2019 Macbook Pro. It's great.
So why do I lust after having an #Apple2e again, like my Dad had when I was a kid? I wrote a rudimentary word processor on that cheerful slab. It was terrible but it was mine.
Why do I keep drifting back to my #AtariSTFM which was a great working computer AND you could play #ImpossilbeMission3 on it.
Why do I feel computers are getting worse the older I get when that is simply untrue?
Finally found use for the USB-A<->USB-A to do the initial flashing for Gotek, but.. turns out this cable is actually specific to some "smart" UPS. Had to fall back to USB-TTL dongle and stm32flash.

Anyway, after that unexpected long post this morning, let's get back to rescuing my floppies.
Each one is like a couple of months of a diary, back in the day, and I got about 200 of them to get through.
I have forgotten most of the #pixelart and game dev I did back in the day. Some nice surprises popping up.
