My final cycling stats for 2025. All sorts of PBs - elevation, distance, active hours and calories burned. SRs completed, multi day tours and a RRtY along the way.

I'm well pleased. Got a few cycling ideas for for 2026 other than numbers. Bring it on.

2025 done. In terms of distance my lowest since 2014 but that doesn't tell the whole story: a lot of effort put into 200km rides for an #audax RRtY badge (so my most centuries in a year ever) and not a great deal else. Also I lost the love of indoor riding a bit, and those rides don't half bump up the total. In summary: okay. I need to get back in the indoor groove in Jan. #cycling #BikeTooter

Generally following the #Audax "Paths Subject to Flooding - 3peaks" #cycling route that starts and finishes in Ashburton. Out for the day with a good friend; 128km and three hills; Mt Cooper, Mt Ridley and Gellibrand Hill and almost all on bike paths and creek trails. We even chanced upon the Mini car club (on Mt Cooper, of course)

Yellow brevet card folded up. It has a rectangular region for every control point the rider has to to check in to. My card has an individual stamp and hand-written time stamps for each obligatory control point.

made my singlespeed into a 12-speed. Don't ride this bike enough. I will now, it's gotta do the last 4x200km for my Randonneur Round the Year. And the first one of them is a 300km most likely... #audax #cycling #BikeTooter

Didn't sleep well last night but I've still been fairly productive this morning.
I've tidied the kitchen and sorted out the bags in the front garden that had the tomatoes in them.

The postman brought my London - Floris - London tee shirt!

He also brought a thumb brace I ordered on Sunday - not so useful though now my thumb is healing but already I can feel the benefit.
