I build my self a version based on the lastest sources (https://gitlab.com/panicinc/audion).
Sadly there are a few bugs. For example:
- The scrolling song title breaks out
- The interface settings dialog doesn’t work - it’s just a placeholder

We _need_ a descent mp3 player since #Apple Music is a mess and buggy as hell.
@panic released a skin engine to use classic #audion faces. Please! Someone pick up the source ( https://gitlab.com/panicinc/audion ) and make a full music player like audion or #soundjam out of it!

Even if used #Macamp (the Mac version of Winamp) back in the days, the sexiest audio player was Audion (Developer: Panic). Also used Soundjam MP (that became iTunes).

One of my favorite companies is @panic.com (the account isn't active yet...) their programs like #audion (rip), #transmit, #coda and (later) #novaapp are on #macintosh computers for years. #firewatch is also a great game i enjoyed a lot. Some older stuff like audion is free now => https://download-keycdn.panic.com/ .
and whats them making really great is, if you kindly ask, you can get a free #coda_1_0 license for your old #PowerPC Mac, for example :ablobcatheartsqueeze:

@limi I bought a Power Mac G4 MDD last week. So I now have a very well working and fast Mac OS X 10.5 machine :)
#hellosystem is the closest if you want something like that on modern hardware. But #Audion, #AppleWorks, #Transmit, … all the stuff that makes this old Mac OS so great besides the system core is missing today.
