This is now the 3rd time that federal government has severely fucked up & demanded my Mom - who has been fucking retired early since Summer of 2020 - to pay them back funds she's eligible for. First time they fucked up was in 2022 & it took 9 months for feds to admit they fucked up & they had to send Mom retroactive payments while we were planning Dad's funeral. 2nd time they fucked up was 1 year after & they stopped her OAS payments & also threatened her with stopping all federal benefits that she earned from working her entire life after coming to Canada as a war refugee in November 1980.
It took over 11 months for feds to stop threatening my family for yet another one of their admin fuck ups. Their big fuck ups end up putting more traumas on our backs. Yes - we are fucking ANGRY.

Thousands of #BritishColumbians living with Long COVID, #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) & Fibromyalgia rely on the BC Centre for Long COVID, ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia (BC-CLMF) for care. Many are housebound or live in rural areas. This clinic—accessible only through virtual care—is their only connection to #medical support, education, and physician-guided treatment.

But due to changes to BC’s #MedicalServices Plan coming September 1, 2025, this clinic is at risk of shutting down. If that happens, patients will lose access to essential care. #ERs and #GPs will be further overwhelmed, and there are no viable alternatives. Other programs are too short-term, overbooked, or exclude those with ME/CFS or Fibromyalgia. This clinic is cost-effective, scalable, and already working.

Ahead of next week’s Speech from the Throne, four national climate groups mounted a 95-metre fabric installation in Ottawa’s Major’s Hill Park on Wednesday, urging Prime Minister #MarkCarney to “pick a path” between new oil and gas #pipelines and climate action.

On the same day, Faith and Climate Action held a “pray-in” at #RoyalBank of #Canada headquarters in Toronto, protesting bank financing for new #fossilfuel infrastructure like the proposed #PrinceRupert Gas Transmission #PRGT project in #BritishColumbia which is expected to receive #BCgovernment approval within days.

The “mega-banner” in #Ottawa “took over 20 hours to construct, dozens of volunteers, sheer grit, and caffeine-fuelled delusion,” wrote Emily Lowan, fossil fuel supply campaigns lead at Climate Action Network-Canada (CAN-Rac), in an email to supporters. “It may even break records as the largest banner in Canadian #climate movement history!”

As of right now, B.C. has no climate plan. They’ve dismantled #CleanBC - an already meek attempt to protect British Columbians from the worst possible outcomes, with nothing to replace it. And what’s worse, they’re charging ahead with plans to approve another fracked gas pipeline: the #PrinceRupert Gas Transmission pipeline.

#FrackedGas is methane, a greenhouse gas that accelerates global heating. #PRGT would not only add to the carbon emissions responsible for more wildfires, it would also increase fracking operations in northern B.C. which doctors and scientists alike have shown make people in surrounding communities sick.

Approving PRGT is reckless. Dangerous. And completely out of step with what this moment demands. We don’t need more #FossilFuels — we need real climate action. Right now.
