Everyone that had scheduled your emergencies for tonight will now have to reschedule them for tomorrow.

Yeah… So if you could contain your emergencies to just regular business hours, that’d be great.
This article doesn’t tell me enough to understand much about the different funding models or form an opinion on which is preferable. I know there’s a couple of docs on my feed. Anyone care to offer an opinion?

https://thetyee.ca/News/2025/12/17/Why-BC-Emergency-Departments-Crowded/ “Today’s problems are the result of downsizing in the late 1980s and 1990s, when provinces and territories slashed the acute care capacities of their hospitals by around 30 per cent,” #BCHealthcare
ACTION ALERT 📣 BC is falling behind in protecting patients, healthcare workers, and our healthcare system. As we enter fall and winter, Newfoundland, Labrador, PEI, and major Quebec and Ontario hospitals have already restored mask requirements in medical settings – yet so far, BC has failed to take action.
Instead of masks in healthcare, BC has:
🏥 increasing hospital & ER closures (over 250 so far this year)
🚨 expert warnings about the possibility of the "worst kind of flu season”, due to a mismatch between the current vaccine and an emerging dominant strain
🦠 a global surge of COVID-19
🐓 a rise in avian influenza outbreaks
☣️ increased measles exposures in BC, coupled with the loss of Canada’s measles elimination status 😭😭😭
It’s past time for action. Head to https://donoharmbc.ca/masks-in-healthcare/ to join our renewed calls for BC to restore healthcare mask protections ASAP - and to improve them by closing loopholes and making respirators (like N95 masks) the default choice 😷

It’s interesting watching the people of #KamloopsBC losing their minds about first all the OBGYNs quitting, and now all the Psychiatrists, considering how they hard they keep voting Conservative at every level.
Folks, this is the plan working exactly as intended.
