The fash say that because their event closed early its a sign of religious persecution at the hands of Mayor Harrell.
Bruce on the other hand bulldozed a protest garden (#BLMG) precisely to enable events. The largest of which has been the fascist MaydayUSA tour (now planning an encoure).
Bruce asked them to wrap up a smidgen early and now both wants to claim that as a victory.
I reported tirelessly OTG about the destruction of the #BLMG and how the destruction of Black led spaces, #homeless outreach, #housing rights, the #FreeGaza #StudentSpring and NOW #LGBTQIA community are all under threat by the exact same local politicians!
We ALL share an enemy in Mayor Bruce Harrell, City Council President Sara Nelson, republican city attorney Ann Davidson and of course the Seattle police.
We need more eyes on these ghouls!
Today's state sponsored hate fest would NOT have been possible if not for the city of Seattle crushing Black led Mutual Aid projects first.
The BLM Memorial Garden and the near daily breakfast program and weekly free grocery events were brutally crushed just like the Black Panther programs which inspired us.
We knew when the city took our garden they had no idea how to better use that space.
Today shows we were right!
It took all the cops SPD could muster to enable the right wing terrorist led event to go on uninterrupted.
Seattle cops arrested 18 to 30 people who were protesting the anti trans event.
The arrests were extremely violent and at least one person was sent to the hospital. I'm getting reports of things like a bike cop headbutting a woman then macing her after she was down and possibly already handcuffed.
Significant police use of force.
Today hundreds of homophobic anti-trans haters swarmed Seattle's Capital Hill gayborhood on the exact same spot that the Black Lives Memorial Garden (#BLMG) once stood as a symbol against hate.
Last year Seattle Mayor Bruce Harroll razed the garden because it became a site of regular Mutual Aid outreach. The mayor claimed the garden was a disruption to the peace and had it destroyed!

I've been heartened to see activist friends starting a similar program in my neighborhood in the past year and a half and was extremely proud to be the first fridge in the network.
Like Fred's example it's grown by leaps in this time.
But you know what? The state oppression has been REAL.

Cal Anderson park at the ball diamond right behind home plate. 7pm.
Followed by a free dinner and mutual aid distro run by the Black Lives Memorial Garden Collective.
Bring food you'd like to share or grill along with any mutual aid supplies you'd like to distribute to the homeless.
This morning the City of Seattle stole our mutual aid supplies.
One of our community members did a report back on this morning's sweep.
Instead of 24 hour notice(as required by law) the city provided residents only 15 minutes warning!

āļø šØļø It's going to be very cold in Seattle this coming week. If you've been following me you've probably heard about the recent destruction of the Black Lives Memorial Garden by the city. This has been especially brutal to the homeless people all over Capital Hill.
Relentless city sweeps have displaced a ton of homeless and destroyed or stolen their cold weather gear.
