Gender Justice said Mudra’s experience “reflects a broader climate of
fear and suspicion aimed at anyone who doesn’t conform to narrow
expectations of what girls and women ‘should’ look like.” That
suspicion has been driven largely by the wave of state legislation
targeting trans people, particularly their access to school sports and
bathrooms that align with their gender identities, though Minnesota
has not enacted any such legislation.

Nineteen states have laws that prohibit trans people from using
bathrooms that align with their gender identities in K-12 schools, and
in many of those states the restrictions apply to other government-
owned buildings as well, according to the Movement Advancement
Project, an LGBTQ think tank. Twenty-seven states have laws that
prohibit trans people from playing on school sports teams that align
with their gender identities.

The Texas Republican party has revived a failed bill that would ban trans women from bathrooms and locker rooms at public spaces including government buildings and schools, and from women's prisons and domestic violence shelters. @oconnell writes about how cis women, including former State Senator Wendy Davis, State Rep. Jessica Gonzalez. who is chair of the Texas House LGBTQ caucus and State Senator Molly Cook are showing up to protest against the bathroom ban and support trans people. "This bathroom ban is nothing but a cheap cruel attempt to distract and divide us," said Gonzalez in a speech this week. "It's not about safety, it's not about public policy. It's about hate, it's about control, and it's about fear of people living authentically and unapologetically." A hearing on the bill has not been set yet, but Gov. When those ridiculous tip lines are encountered, like the ones for reporting inappropriate books or for bathroom policing trans people, spamming is fine, but a "tip" that looks like a legitimate report is much harder to filter out and takes up more time in investigating.

Filters can be setup for the first, but the second is much more difficult to do so and winds up draining resources.

Just a curious thing to note.
