Today I'm feeling better.. it's more than a cold and less than a flu.

No sports for me this week though.

But some work and some chores and two extra-ordinary events with the kids, that's in the cards.

We the parents finished #TheBeastInMe yesterday, so no longer that to look forward..

Still something to look forward today: this BBC podcast. How gorgeous is this cover inspired by the #BayeuxTapestry?

The cover of the "you're dead to me" podcast from BBC.

Besides being impressed by Mia and her exacting detail--I did not know that you could view the whole online stitch by stitch. I asked how often she looks at the original and with this she can all the time.

LOL. Her highness is unimpressed by the Bayeux stitch illustration in our lace group talk today.

We had a fabulous talk by Mia Hansson, who is replicating the ENTIRE . By herself.

The nuisance calico sits to the left on the table covered by a cutting mat, between me and the zoom meeting that has a side of embroidery stitches. Also on the table is my Bayeux Tapestry covered sewing box.

Bayeux tapestry British museum loan: France and Britain are making nice.

In vivid and gruesome detail, the Bayeux tapestry, a 70-meter embroidered cloth, recounts how a fierce duke from France conquered England in 1066, reshaping British and European history.

Next year, the fragile artistic and historic treasure will be transported from its museum in Normandy, to star in a blockbuster exhibition in London's British Museum.

I can't decide whether this Xitter post is Redwood trying to be funny or Redwood promulgating in all seriousness the "Norman yoke" myth.

A tweet from John Redwood whose profile picture of an elderly white man is shown in the upper left hand corner. The text of the tweet reads "Offering us a loan of the Bayeux embroidery reminds us of the invasion and the way so many English were forced into serfdom by the Normans. It depicts the violent deaths of English soldiers."
