It's #VoteEarlyDay! 🥳 San Francisco is so awesome that you've been able to return your election ballot for a couple of weeks already! (you cast yours, right? riiiiiiight?)

But tbh, the number of people who have returned their ballot return envelope without a signature is a big bummer.

As of October 28, 2025. 116,457 vote-by-mail ballots have been returned and accepted by the San Francisco Department of Elections. 36 more ballots are in review. 191 additional were returned without a signature. 309 have a signature that doesn't seem to match the voter's record. 2 are from military or overseas voters who haven't sent their oath of voter form. 2 were returned by fax, but the voter was not eligible to vote that way. 48 have a voter registration that is canceled or ineligible. 40 envelopes didn't have a ballot inside. A fake movie poster. The title of the movie is Night of the Unprepared Voters. The tagline is In the fight for the future will you turn out to vote...or let them win? In the distance against a moody dark sky is San Francisco's City Hall building, bathed in spooky orange light. Bats fly up from the City Hall's dome. In front of City Hall is a group of 10 people. They all either look confused, lost, or scared. One person in the middle is holding a ballot. Three five-star quotes from fake movie reviewers say: Make a plan—or be haunted!, Spooktacularly unready!, and A nightmare for democracy! Text at the bottom says The deadline to vote is coming!
