Something is removing the aphids from my milkweed plants - Thank you!
Is it these guys? And if so, anyone know who/what they are?

photo of an insect (long, narrow, rather flat, with alternating black and orange coloration) on a butterfly flower (aesclepius - a member of the milkweed family) plant in my garden. (I had an aphid infestation problem, which is diminishing. i suspect these insects get the credit, but don't really know.)

A snakefly that was checking out a ladybug pupae.

A flying insect that is about an inch long, or 2.5cm. It has a long dark neck, clear wings with black webbing, tan colored legs, it's abdomen could be yellow and black striped but is obscured by the wings. There is a ladybug pupae beyond it that is orange with black spots making a stripes and it looks sort of accordion like. They are on a wood veneer surface that is horizontal.

Two different long-legged flies. I've noticed the green ones on just about every leaf around here but have been seeing more of the more gold looking ones lately.

There are lots of aphids this year so maybe they just bask in the sun when they've had their fill.

A closeup photo of a metallic green to gold long-legged fly. This photo from June 22 is more in focus. It has the skinny rear body that tapers to a blunt tip.A closeup photo that is slightly out of focus of a metallic green colored long legged fly on a tomatillo leaf. It has clear wings with black stripes. It's head is darker than it's body which gets skinny towards the back end. It has long legs. The fly is only a few millimeters long.A closeup photo of a metallic green and gold colored long legged fly on a tomatillo leaf. It has clear wings with black stripes. This fly has a larger body.
