A few weeks after our trip to Stans (see previous ThrowbackThursday post) we've been to Galtür for three days and left just one day before the southern peak of Fluchthorn mountain collapsed in a huge rock slide.

View from the Reiterkogel and the reservoir pond Wetterkreuz beneath

Someone took a picture of me from behind while I sat down and enjoyed the fabolous view from the Reiterkogel.

Superb view into the Pinzgauer Grasberge on a bright and sunny day.

Yummy cheese spaetzle with fried onions and Viennese Schnitzel and a mixed salad along with a glass of wheat beer on a restaurant table.

After a four-hour hike, I reached this beautiful mountain lake with a fantastic view. A few lenticularis clouds have formed over the peaks. The way back will take another 3 hours.

Nach einer vierstündigen Wanderung erreichte ich diesen wunderschönen Bergsee mit traumhafter Aussicht. Über den Gipfeln haben sich ein paar Lenticularis-Wolken gebildet. Der Rückweg wird weitere 3 Stunden dauern.

Nach dem Schnee schippen bin ich heute meine kleine Lieblingsstrecke rund um den Bergsee am Meisterstein gegangen. Von der Schnickemühle aus aufsteigend waren noch keine Fußstapfen im Schnee zu sehen. Erster!
