🧿 The Story of Krishna and Sudama
Long ago, in the sacred land of Dwarka, Lord Krishna ruled with love, wisdom, and fairness. Despite being a king, Krishna never forgot his humble past or his childhood friends. One such dear friend was Sudama, a poor Brahmin who lived a life of devotion and simplicity.
Sudama and Krishna were inseparable during their childhood at the ashram of Sage Sandipani. But as life moved on, they took different paths — Krishna became the King of Dwarka, and Sudama struggled with poverty.
One day, Sudama’s wife, moved by their hunger, requested him to seek help from Krishna. Although hesitant at first, Sudama finally agreed and took a humble gift of flattened rice (poha) — something Krishna loved in childhood.
When Sudama reached Krishna’s palace, he was welcomed not like a beggar but like a brother and best friend. Krishna washed his feet, embraced him, and made him feel at home. Touched by the gesture, Sudama was overwhelmed with emotion.
Sudama was too shy to ask for help. But Krishna, in his divine love, understood everything without words. After Sudama left Dwarka, he found his old hut transformed into a palace, and his family surrounded by prosperity — a silent miracle performed by Krishna.
