I had no idea the #aurora was out tonight until our village chat group lit up! This is the very first time I've ever seen the Northern Lights – what a dream come true! 🤩🥹 At first, there were just faint green smudges flickering in and out of the night sky, followed by a soft red tint. I ended up standing in the garden for half an hour in my dressing gown, trying to capture it all on camera. Unsurprisingly, my phone did a better job than the camera at bringing out the colours, because I have no idea what I'm doing. 😅

The first image is from my phone, the second is from the camera. In the first, I've silhouetted the houses for privacy. Can you spot the Plough/Big Dipper just above the middle roof? 😊 The second photo is SOOC.

#Blizzard Elli is turning #Biederitz into a #winterWonderland. Sadly, I can only take some photos from the house today (I did so earlier, but it's still snowing, so this selection is already outdated), as I'm working and worried about Stella the chicken. She was attacked by the others and isn't doing well at all, but our vet refuses to see her due to bird flu restrictions. 😞 Fingers crossed she makes it through the night.
