View to the South-West of the Nieuwe Merwede from the local ferry. The lower two-fifths of the photo shows water, dark grey, fairly calm despite the wind. Trees on the horizon, almost black. On the left, just below the horizon, an inland cargo vessel is moving out of the picture, also mostly grey/black, with two red stripes - the only bright colour in the photo. The top three-fifths of the photo consists of grey cumulus clouds, threatening, but without rain.

View to the North-East of the Nieuwe Merwede from the local ferry. The lower half of the photo shows water, grey, fairly calm despite the wind. Trees on the horizon, dark grey, some electricity pylons visible. In the middle, just below the horizon in front of one of the pylons, an inland cargo vessel, grey/black, white cabin. The top half of the photo consists of white/grey clouds.
