I think I am ready to start looking for work in Canada. I will need to properly update my resume, and may even need to re-activate my LinkedIn, but in case #FediHire can point me in promising direction I am hoping for anything in these areas:

• Agile product management
• Product operations
• User analytics
• Sales engineering
• Public administration
• Management

Though it has been about eight years since I worked Canadian clients, I have implemented HR systems (HRIS) with all of their provincial regulatory complexities for hospitals, casinos, scientific research facilities, and even community shelters in Ontario; insurance firms, oilfield services companies, and universities in Alberta; fishing companies in Nova Scotia; and a college in New Brunswick.

A basic profile rather than a proper resume

In case it is unclear from the context of this post, it is important to me and my family, to be in a community and region that uphold the dignity and value of all people. Additionally, potential employers must also mirror these values.

Since it was between 38-50 F today, I commuted via bike for the first time this year. I’ve been a bit wimpy but in my defense it’s been a very cold January recently. Ugh. I'm going to have to start wearing a GoPro or something and recording my commute. Some stupid asshole in a giant SUV thought she could just turn left right into me when I had the right of way tonight, and then she started honking and shouting at ME like it was MY fault she failed to yield and went when it wasn't her turn. (Fortunately she did stop just short of hitting me with her SUV, so I was shaken and angry, but not injured.)

So many people drive like they feel entitled never to see or interact with a person on a bicycle, and that it's okay to murder someone with their vehicle if they feel horribly inconvenienced about having to wait two seconds for someone to go past.

At least with a GoPro, if someone hits me and flees the scene, there will be a record of the identity of the jackass responsible.

Yes, it doesn't require lubrication, doesn't rust, and lasts much longer than a chain. And it's totally silent!
Disadvantages are that it can't be used with a derailleur, so it's only for single speed or hub geared bikes, and it requires a frame with a cutout to install the belt, so it's not really feasible to retrofit a chain drive bike into a belted one. Also a belt has a tiny bit more elasticity than a chain, so if you're trying to eke out every last watt of power, that can be a problem.
Still, I think it's worth it.
Priority Bicycles is a company known for making only belt drive bikes. Mine is not a Priority, but I like their bikes. Here's a page about their belt drives:
