Tail Up, Eyes Sharp

This Carolina wren (scientific name) made a relatively rare appearance this morning. I touched don't on a small tree in front of me just long enough for me to snap this photo. This also happens to be the first post of a photo taken with my new Canon R5.

Step into a world where even the smallest moments—like the glint in a bird's eye—tell their own story.

"A Carolina Wren perches in a moment of lively alertness, its cinnamon-hued back glowing gently against a softened backdrop of spring green and coastal blue. The fine white line of its eyebrow curves like a stroke of bright chalk above a sharp, slender beak. Its chest and belly are pale and warm, feathered in soft creams, fading down to delicate patterning near the legs. The tail is cocked upward—sprightly and striped—hinting at the bird’s restless energy. It’s poised on a gray-brown branch that stretches diagonally across the frame, as if nature’s own easel was tilted for just this portrait. Light plays softly over its feathers, revealing textures from smooth chestnut to fine flecks of black and white—like a song rendered in plumage." - Copilot

Männliche Tafelente schwimmt in ruhigem, bläulichem Wasser.
