The interior of a subway car, shot through one of the acrylic barriers separating seats from the doors. Lines converge on the vanishing point at the far end of the train. We see riders standing, sitting, reading their phones. One looks at the camera, holding a backpack in his lap. Everything has a hazy, almost smoky look to it, caused by the wear to the acrylic panel between the camera and the subjects.

This is a black and white cityscape photo with an expanse of water in the foreground and a developing tropical storm overhead A city. The lower quarter of the image is filled with a scene of dark harbour water. In the distance, about 1km away is a city made up of multiple high-rise buildings. To the left is a ragged ridge of high terrain. In the centre is a large tropical thunder storm (cumulonimbus) with a low flat cloud base and stretching horizontally about 5-10km across the city and beyond. The cloud develops vertically with the centre being bright from the low rising sun that's behind. At a point about three-quarters up in the image the cloud spreads horizontally more to the left than right, possibly forming an 'Anvil' that tops a classic thunderstorm. To the left and right of the storm is a near clear and cloudless dark sky.
The location: The body of water is Victoria Harbour. The city is Hong Kong (2018).

Final shot from the tiny contact prints I found pasted in my sketchbook from 1996. This is one of the ichthyocentaurs in the "Fountain of Centaurs" on the grounds of the Missouri State Capital at night. Not sure if this is still the case, but the grounds were a popular hangout spot for teens in Jefferson City back in the 1990s.

1) Flipped version of the original contact print, quick auto tonal correction in Photoshop.
2) Original contact print as it appears in the sketchbook, quick auto tonal correction and dodging to improve paper tone in Photoshop.

No spot correction, this is more or less how the prints appear. The craft in my first-year college photo project left a lot to be desired.
