Watching the blue jay dig a little hole in the ground with their beak, bury a peanut (I’m assuming) and then cover the spot with a leaf.

While practicing slo-mo video with my new Canon 90D yesterday, I noticed one of our local blue jays has an upturned toe on their right foot. Here’s a couple of screen caps.
If I can figure out how to reduce the file size enough, I’ll add a slo-mo video of toe-Jay coming in for a landing.
Ok here's a 16sec clip of the blue jay mocking the call of the hawks. Sound up! The video quality is not important.
