My last #Boskone panel, *Fantasy Beyond Swords and Sorcery*, is this morning at 10am. After that, I'll hang out at the SFWA table for another hour or two, then pack up the table and drive home. It's been a good Con.

At Boskone today, satirist Jasper Fforde discusses his boyhood reading; although I have not the pleasure of understanding how he might arrive at this most distressing conclusion:

Do you attend conventions? If so, what cons are on your travel list this year?

I started attending cons as a fan in grad school, at the birth of Real-Time Real-Space roleplaying (now LARPing). I also costumed. I stopped attending as much during my heavy cat showing decades . . .

Now I have a regular con schedule:

John Scalzi won the Skylark at #Boskone, a big lens on a pedestal. In accepting this, he was played a video from Jane Yolen, a story about how putting it in the kitchen led to it setting her good wool coat on fire on a sunny day. "put this award where the sun doesn't shine"

Have to say -- at #arisia, it was rare to be in a room with one outlying person unmasked. At #Boskone, it's the reverse. Not one room where everyone was masked (Granted, that's a sample of the five I got to today)
