К концу 90х в Великобритании было ежегодно по полмиллиона случаев нападений с использованием стеклянной посуды. В основном с «розочками» но и с бокалами тоже.
В Великобритании и Австралии - glassing.
В Новой Зеландии - bottling.
Для решения проблемы было предложено заменить посуду на выполненную из альтернативных материалов.
Частично это не понравилось клиентам (фууу, пластик), частично крупным поставщикам (фууу, закаленное стекло дорого)
Какие-то заведения меняют стекло с наступлением темноты.
Программы социальные всякие типа Безопасный город без стекла. Гранты на разработку безопасной тары.
Но худо бедно, уровень подобного рода происшествий в начале 00х снижался.

А сейчас снижается количество пьяных происшествий. Но glassing опять вырос.

То ли новые граждане любители ножей переняли местный колорит. То ли традиции так быстро не изжить.
