Day one of the Urbanglass, MAGIC install. It was quite fun driving a box truck from NJ to downtown Brooklyn yesterday. I forgot how much I missed Art handling. Some fun students from Texas drove the box truck up for a weekend NYC adventure.

We got a bunch done today mounting a bunch of the burst backer. There are about 40 animating transformers back there so we can blink the 80 or so tubes. Really excited it's actually able to make it to Brooklyn!

Headed to a show an tell party tonight at a friend's house tonight. I was gonna bring a Rainbow Sunrise Doodle that I pumped in the kiln, but it fell off the table and broke right before I went out the door so I grabbed this helium double rainbow instead. Now I get to make the rainbow sunrise again :) I could have baked it out longer anyways.

Yesterday I clip, strip and crimped two massive manual on-off switches to the batteries in my '06 F-450 retired Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV for short) (still deciding on a name)

This is to protect against a parasitic load I can't track. Now I don't have to pull the clamps off the terminals each time it sits

I also pumped up the tires, fired her up and ran her around the block twice

It was a very good day ☺️

There's a reason why #SuperUselessVehicles are basically nonexistant in #Europe and instead we see either #Boxtruck|s, #StationWagon|s, #Van|s and rarely some flatbed truck...

The few #PickUp|s I saw were almost exclusively used by some contractors i.e. Gardeners who use them to haul some bags of dirt, Sand, Gravel or bushes and hedges to customers and throw dirty shovels on...

@notjustbikes Espechally since these "#Crossover|s" are just #SuperUselessVehicle|s that are worse for anyone not inside in terms of road-safety, emissions, and crash-safety and they don't even have good offroad performance.

The few people who have a 'legitimate' reason to drive any actual #SUV are those best suited with either a #boxtruck or a #pickup - like contractors doing handcrafts and having to lug around tons of materials and heavy tools.
