Just finished Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Recommended.

Artistically splendid, and mechanically engaging, but over-relies on cliche in story and setting—and I IMPLORE writers to stop composing downer endings simply because they feel mature, especially if they don't also further the story's themes in an imperative way, and render the entire action of the plot pointless. Why was it thematically vital to traumatize the younger son so thoroughly?

That #BrothersATaleOfTwoSons remake came out?

The OG game was absolutely incredible when it came out (erm...11! years ago). Seems like the remake allows for co-op which... despite what you might think at first blush seems to go entirely against what the game is about and how it uses the players ability to control each brother simultaneously as a truly incredible narrative device later on.

What a waste.

Qué grata sorpresa con el Brothers: A tale of two sons.

Es un juego corto (3 horas), con puzles sencillos pero bien integrados en una narrativa inmersiva. Se siente un poco como una película de aventuras de los 80, con un toque mágico y situaciones memorables.

Me costó bastante hacerme con los controles, y es que se usa un stick y un gatillo para mover simultáneamente a cada personaje, pero te vas haciendo con ello.

Lo mejor para mí, un momento en que control y mecánicas se usan para exaltar un clímax narrativo de forma brillante.

Y me acabo de enterar que dentro de 5 días sacan un remaster.

Ende Februar kommt #BrothersATaleOfTwoSons als Remake raus.
Ich weiß ja nicht. Das Spiel ist schon was Besonderes, und ich würd's auch jedem empfehlen, es genau ein Mal durchzuspielen (das "Besondere" am Spiel funktioniert nur ein Mal). Aber für wen ist dann das Remake?
