Little Red Corvette
The Chevrolet Corvette is one of my favorite cars.
This 1960 model by todays standards seems slow but for it's time was considered pretty fast.
The base model's 0 to 60 time was a sluggish 8.3 seconds. Fast for it's day but nowhere near the times the modern Vette. But the styling of todays cars don't come anywhere near the curves and chrome of the cars from earlier generations.

Little Red Corvette This is a closeup photograph of a 1960 red Corvette. The lower left of the image shows the white wall tire with chrome hubcaps. The chrome bumper runs a near vertical line across the bottom of the image leading to a bright, shiny, chrome grill. On the right side of the image you can see the circular Corvette badge on a shiny red hood. Above the left fender are a pair of round headlights wrapped in chrome. There is also a chrome piece on the hood that leads back to the windshield.

Politics is a game that hides power. It purports to have "sides" -- A or B, red or blue, good or bad -- so that parasites wield control while followers on each side snipe at one another.

But if we must discuss sides, it should focus on the ridiculously, appallingly rich who grasp, wield, and use power and . . . the rest of us.

As a child, I did not do well with the box of rocks in the geology session of science class. Separated from their environment, neatly docketed in their little spaces, they little held my interest.

But out in the real world where the rocks "lived," I was fascinated by their texture and form, color, placement, shape.

I like to learn about the real world, in the real world.
