@kallemp I didn't bother with #LoRa due to it being patented and #Meshtastic for tending to pollute #ISM spectrum.

Also #CEPT does have data channels on #CB radio that are allowed to be used.

• Given the low duty cycle, I'd say it's worth using said #LicensingFree channels. Espechally since the only "regulated" part are transmitters and those are just transparent cheap boxes, so #AFSK will be fine.

OFC one could use this across any spectrum or means, ranging from WSJT - moonbouncing at extreme narrowband and high frequences to #UHFSATCOM radio piracy. Obviously I disrecommend the latter for legal reasons!

• OFC one could also use it across i.e. #Iridium and other #SATCOM and regular #VHF & #UHF radios or even just print messages as QR-Codes...

• As for the anonymous reading / recieval: Using license-free #ISM bands like 27MHz #CB radio to send messages & then recieving them like a #pager would work, only making the transmitter detectable during trabsmission via triangulation, which may have a too narrow window of a few seconds given #OTP doesn't have #PGP-Style overhead. Making it feasible for using #POCSAG even...

I merely focussed on airgapped data transfers as being able to do OTP encryption wasn't feasible until the advent of legitimate 1TB microSD cards and thus negligible impact on key logistics, to even then one could update those OTA in a broadcast encrypted with per-user-/device-keys if that's feasible.

Depois dos incêndios do último outono e do apagão da semana passada, acho que é desta que vou adquirir um rádio da Banda do Cidadão. Apesar de ter passado toda a minha vida profissional ligado às comunicações rádio, nunca me interessei por radioamadorismo (mesmo com alguns colegas radioamadores), mas sei que em Portugal não é necessário uma licença para a usar (banda dos 27 MHz).
