A CD that I've had on my Discogs wishlist for ages, but didn't get around to acquiring until now: Joe Jackson's "Night And Day". This is the 1997 remastered edition. Needed a new front flap for the jewel case as the one it came with was badly cracked, but now (almost) good as new!

Back to CD collecting after a few months off. This is "PopArt: The Hits", a 2-disc Pet Shop Boys collection from 2003 presented here with a bonus disc of remixes.

I think this cardboard fold-out format might be my fave type of CD packaging, it feels so PREMIUM somehow

Two, in the shrink wrap polka CDs. On the cover of one, is a reenactment of the Iwo Jima flag raising, but what appears to be the band. On the flag is a martini glass, and just below the alum's title: Raise It! The second cover is a parody of Nirvana's Nevermind album cover. Instead of a baby and money, it is an old polka man and a bottle of Schnapps. The title is: Vermox and Vommit

This week in Ropeadope History… Back when we were known for avant-garde, Jazz, and Jam - we signed a (sort of) bluegrass band, Cabinet, from Scranton Pennsylvania. It was a soul affirming move for ropeadope.
