You can feel the optimism in this protest I filmed in Paris, December 2015: there & then our leaders, remarkably, agreed we'd aim for maximum 1.5ºC target for global heating.

We recorded +1.55ºC in October 2025.

Countries that open new oil & gas extraction must be taken to court – by us, their citizens!

Il est temps d’écouter les voix des personnes qui sont particulièrement touchées par les conséquences du dérèglement climatique et qui sont en première ligne du sabotage climatique organisé par les responsables politiques, les industries polluantes et les milliardaires.

Aujourd’hui, avec Greenpeace France et Actions Justice Climat Paris, nous avons déversé de la peinture orange autour de l'Arc de Triomphe et la place de l'Étoile pour alerter sur la nécessité de suivre d'autres voix.

Clean energy is advancing and projected warming has fallen, yet governments continue to approve fossil fuel expansion and fall short on ending deforestation.

Ten years ago on 12 December 2015 in Paris at the UN climate conference COP21, a momentous agreement was reached, committing governments to efforts aimed at limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

But 10 years later, the world is still dangerously off track from meeting the 1.5°C limit and much faster action to reduce fossil fuels emissions and end deforestation is needed. So what has the Paris Agreement achieved, what happens next and what is needed to limit climate change?

10 years ago today we danced with timid optimism on the Champs-Élysées in Paris after #COP21 had found an agreement. Experts already warned that it lacked teeth. It had been a strange week in the city, one month after the horrendous terrorist attacks, Bataclan etc. All protests were forbidden for security [!] reasons, the police heavy-handed. Some brave people protested anyway. But on Sunday a large peaceful protest was permitted and it was wonderful.

C'est pourquoi ce matin, avec Action Justice Climat Paris et Greenpeace France, on a déployé une banderole géante au pied de la Tour Eiffel, emblème de la COP21, pour dénoncer ces saboteurs climatiques !
