Interestingly, the COP23 Prdt is also one of the head of the UAE oil company.

Der Präsident der Klimakonferenz, der nebenbei noch Chef eines Ölkonzerns ist, hält den Ausstieg aus den fossilen Brennstoffen für unnötig und bezweifelt, dass fossile Brennstoffe am Klimawandel schuld sind.

Beginnt nicht nächste Woche diese völlig überflüssige #COP23, ausgerechnet in Dubai? Reisen da eigentlich alle mit Zügen und Schiffen an?

@MrGR Da besteht tatsächlich Verwechslungsgefahr. Das Thema ist Papst #Franziskus offenbar so wichtig, dass er der Enzyklika Laudato si’ (2015) noch das Apostolische Schreiben Laudate Deum (2023) zur #COP23 nachgeschickt hat. Der #Vatikan hat sogar – was ich bislang noch nicht wusste – eine Laudato-si’-Aktionsplattform aufgesetzt. Das müsste ich mir allerdings erst genauer ansehen.
