In the research paper in Angewandte Chemie the methods and results are detailed, with the knock-out approach of the sine oculis [C1] gene being tried first as a proof of concept. The CRISPR solution was injected into the ovaries of female spiders, whose offspring then carried the mutation. With clear deficiencies in eye development observable in this offspring, the researchers moved on to adding the red fluorescent protein gene with another CRISPR solution, which targets the major ampullate gland where the silk is produced.

Dans un article publié en avril 2025, Euronews met en avant les « nouvelles techniques génomiques » ( #OGM / #NTG ) en s’appuyant sur l’exemple d’un blé génétiquement modifié par #crisprcas9 au Royaume-Uni. On apprend que ce blé, mis au point par l’équipe de biologistes du Rothamsted Research de l’Université de Bristol, est testé en champ au nord de Londres depuis octobre 2021. Si cet essai est réalisé sans précautions environnementales, agricoles et sanitaires, il constitue en revanche une belle vitrine pour d’éventuels investisseurs.

In 2020, she and Jennifer Doudna were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their groundbreaking work on the CRISPR-Cas9 technology. Jennifer Doudna is an American biochemist and molecular biologist. In 2020, Doudna and Emmanuelle Charpentier were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their groundbreaking work on the CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing technology. This was the first science Nobel Prize ever won by two women only. CAR-T buňka je T lymfocyt, který je geneticky upraven(ano, CRISPR-Cas9) tak, aby napadal např. rakovinné buňky. Aby nenapadal tělo, resp. imunitní systém nelikvidoval CAR-T, musí se brát od pacienta, geneticky upravit, namnožit a pak vstříknout pacientovi. To je drahé jak prase.

Číňani vzali T lymfocyty od mladé zdravé ženy, geneticky upravili tak, aby byly neviditelné pro imunitní systém, pak geneticky upravili na hon zblblých B buněk, které vytvářejí autoprotilátky, a hle! Pacoši s těžkými autoimunními nemocemi jsou v remisi!

One of the recipients, Mr Gong, a 57-year-old man from Shanghai, has systemic sclerosis, which affects connective tissue and can result in skin stiffening and organ damage. He says that three days after receiving the therapy, he felt his skin loosen and he could start moving his fingers and opening his mouth again. Two weeks later, he returned to his office job. ‘I feel very good,’ he says, more than a year after receiving the treatment.”

Age impedes the ability of the brain’s stem cells to churn out new cells, but the study’s authors found that reducing the activity of a particular gene rejuvenated these stem cells, allowing them to proliferate and provide the brain with a supply of fresh neurons.
