Soon, there'll be a new Turris home router.
Sporting 4x2.5 Gbps interfaces and 2xSFP+ for WAN and LAN0 it should finally catch up with recent heavy rollout of fiber everywhere - for example here in Prague, 2 Gbps fiber lines are not unusual lately. Also, it will have 4 core ARMv8 cpu, which is a nice upgrade from current ARMv7 dual core.
This is not an advertisement, just my excitement, because I want to get my hands on one - we are using Turris since the first test batch more than ten years ago and it's a very versatile piece of networking hardware - especially nowadays, when PC Engines stopped manufacturing APU boards.
I plan to do a short review when the time comes - any request what I should try? Or questions about my experience with current Turris Omnia 2020?

Kto #planetarium nezná, přednášky tam jsou pravidelně. Nově je v suterénu cloud chamber, velice efektní částicový detektor. Skvělé když zneužíváte omamné látky!
@tomasv I use Turris Omnia from project @turris by #cznic for years in a similar scenario and it works fine. Interference on 2.4GHz WiFi is a real problem, even in our village. Another significant problems typically are: (1) poor quality WiFi chips/cards in cheap consumer grade routers, (2) old outdated software with suboptimal network settings in most routers.

We develop and produce #opensource #wifi #router with focus on #security running #Linux distribution based on #OpenWrt. Of course, we provide automatic #updates and #root accounts. We have a #network of #honeypots running on our devices and create a dynamic #firewall based on the data.

One operational question I have is the the ability to pre-generate keys once on the HSM, lock the #pkcs11 interface and have #Knot use them for automatic roll-overs according to policy w/o creating new keys automatically.
My understanding of #Knot manual mode is that key timing has to be done… well, manually!
The same way #cznic has set a end date for #lPv4 I think we need a global end date so we can finally mark IPv6 migration to Done .
