Throngs of #waterfowl crowd the docks, though some get left too far out and may decide to seek food elsewhere.

When area leaders decided to create a project to update the facilities at #Port #Canaveral, one of the results was Exploration #Tower, a #sail-shaped tower with a white metal upper section above the viewing deck to complete the sail form.
Inside, there are conference rooms, museum space, and a gift ship.

The #lighthouse on Cape #Canaveral is over 150 years old.
When the US took over much of #Merritt Island for the purpose of testing missiles and space launches, they also took over the lighthouse.
The light is still active and operated by the Coast Guard.
Scheduled tours are available, though the lighthouse is part of #CapeCanaveral facilities
