The #postfire seedling recruitment of the #Carob tree (#Ceratonia siliqua) that I observed 1 month after #fire (left) is thriving 3 years later (right). It's not that common to see this regeneration.

Other times, the #fire is not that intense and the degree of consumption is much lower. In fact the degree of consumption of #Carob #trees could be used as an indicator of the fire #severity

The #stump of #Carob trees (#Ceratonia siliqua) #burns so easily that the #fire often consume it and move through the #roots, leaving holes in the floor. #Azuebar #wildfire (2021), E #Spain

The #seedlings of #carob tree (#Ceratonia siliqua) I saw 1 months after #fire (top left) are growing well & healthy 15 month later (top right). They survived the 1st summer, so they are quite save now.
Is not that common to see #postfire #recruitment of this species

Of course, they are many other species recruiting, including pines (P halepensis; bottom left) & some shrubs (Cistaceae, Ules ...; bottom right); 16 month postfire
