Today during a club member’s flight review (First person doing what I am now calling Sam’s Comprehensive Flight Review) I passed 1000 hours total time.

Really happy. This came later than I wanted but still so happy.

So since some have asked. Here is what I have been working on for a Comprehensive Flight Review. The target for this is club/lower yearly time GA pilots.

The idea would be to talk to the pilot ahead of time and fine tune but this gives them a starting point on what we would cover. (link to PDF)

Well looks like the #FAA is planning on killing off Flight Service Stations (FSS) and their associated Remote Communication Outlets (RCO).

Truthfully I am not shocked. I have not used FSS as a private #pilot for… a long time.

Went #flying so far 2x this year. Not bad for being 4 days in. Yesterday was a ferry moving a #Cessna 172B from one home to another so it could have the annual done. Then today went around the patch with a club member who had not flown for 4 months and wanted CFI with to bust the rust off. (Pics from 1st flight)

I am thinking of flying into KMIC (Crystal Airport in Minneapolis) but their lack of FBO and from pilot comments stating minimal tie downs has me rethinking it (especially since it’s winter 🥶)
