Ik ben altijd ontzettend fan geweest van de eerste Chicken Run-film en de stijl van Aardman. Toen ik dus op Netflix zag dat er na meer dan 20 jaar een vervolg is gemaakt, wilde ik deze direct zien. De film heeft veel van de kracht en charme van de eerste film. Verder hebben de makers goed gekeken naar films van James Bond uit de jaren ’60 en ’70 voor de decors en de frissere kleuren doen erg denken aan Squid Game. Het verhaal zakt qua spanningsboog wel wat in en de grapjes zijn nogal voorspelbaar en weinig origineel, dus de film haalt het niet bij het origineel. Maar hij is zeker vermakelijk.

Having escaped to a secluded island, chickens must mount a rescue from a new threat.

The plot and themes are predictable and yet, thanks to a constant influx of wacky ideas and hilarious designs, the movie delivers everything a good sequel should and more.

Не всё то золото, что вторая серия.

Первый мульт был хорош. Задумка, живенькое действие, смешно.

Коротко о второй серии: медленная скукота.

IMDb: 7.1 Не могу сказать, почему такой высокий балл. Просто не понимаю. Это твердая "тройка".

Не рекомендую взрослым. Мало того, что оно скучное, так еще и сплошная повесточка. Сильные самостоятельные куры, в смысле женщины.

Детям лет до 11-12 можно, но сбегут. По той же причине. Скучно. На повесточку детям плевать, но действие ооооченнннь неторопливое.

Watched Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget and the animation is amazing!

Personally thought the rest of the movie was very disappointing though.

Just seemed to lack whatever made the original so special!
