𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): Close-up of two greenfinches, one of them what appears to be an adult male feeding another specimen of similar size but with less striking plumage, from which we deduce that it is a fledgling that will soon be weaned.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Primer plano de dos verderones, uno de ellos lo que parece un macho adulto que alimenta a otro ejemplar de tamaño similar pero de plumaje menos llamativo, por lo que deducimos que es un volantón al que no le falta mucho para independizarse.

L'altre dia un grup de verderols menjaven arròs de llavor que li hauria caigut a algun tractor que estava sembrant. Quan vaig passar en el cotxe es van apartar, però no es van anar molt lluny per tornar a baixar.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A couple of greenfinches (male and female) perched on the spikes of the bulrushes on the shores of the lagoons of Cantalejo (a village near Segovia, Spain). Both have their backs turned and are facing to the right of the image, thus revealing sexual dimorphism in their coloring, which is more vivid in the male and more subdued in the female.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): Una pareja de verderones (macho y hembra) posados sobre las inflorescencias de las espadañas (Typha) de la orilla de las lagunas de Cantalejo (un pueblo de Segovia, en España). Ambos están de espaldas y miran hacia la derecha de la imagen, de modo que se aprecia el dimorfismo sexual en el colorido, más vivo en el macho, y más apagado en la hembra.

M'agrada aquesta fotografia perquè vaig captar a un mascle (dalt) i una femella (baix) de verderols. Com podeu veure el mascle té un color verd groguenc més cridaner que el de la femella.
