I don't think I've tooted anything for a couple weeks? Been busy, working of course but in my free time mostly trying to cram the alto parts of Bach's B minor Mass into my head. Normal choirs would reserve a few months to prepare it (it's 1 hour 45 minutes of music, more or less), we do it in three weeks. At least most members have sung it before. General rehearsal tonight, concert tomorrow, wish me luck. 😅

Why are #choir recordings almost universally awful?

I get it. It's a high reverb environment. But you are also a world famous choir that can afford some directional mics. (Or in this church/school recording I'm watching I can SEE at least 6 mics in different areas.)

You have the #sound #engineering equipment! F'ing use it!!!

It is well edited, so I know someone listened to it. But they haven't changed their behavior in the slightest.

bc this is apparently going to be an issue every 6 months and I want to be objective, I took an #audio spectrum via my phone. Sampled at 48kHz, fwiw on a phone....
