In the U.S., over 40 (!) Catholic institutions have filed for bankruptcy protection. They hope to affordably dispense with clergy abuses, spanning decades.
If this were a franchise of sports teams, like soccer coaches, they would have been shut down instantly. Their pattern of protecting molesters, refusing to report the crimes; but because it's about some BOOK, the Catholic church gets a pass.

I woke up today to a news headline on social media about the CoE putting out a message to Tommy Robinson’s Christian nationalism that this is not how the faith works at all.

Martin Bucer was a Protestant, German Reformer. He says if feeding the hungry is feeding Christ (Mt 25:31-46), then it’s the duty of magistrates to make sure things are put to their proper uses. Thus extravagant spending on “spiritual Promotions” should be taxed.
