Day 1 of the Christopher Tolkien Centenary Conference was fantastic. So many wonderful talks by many scholars and folks whose essays and books are on my shelf.

Many thanks to the Tolkien Society for putting it all together. Looking forward to Day 2, though I'll have to miss some of the later bits with church and other family obligations.
