The wonderfully and implausibly named Bonewaldesthorne's Tower, at the north west corner of Chester's city walls. Documented since 1249 and rebuilt 1322-26, since when it has formed the gatehouse to the stone spur leading to the Water Tower, which once stood in the River Dee and now rather improbably stands close to a children's playground.
