"We throw away a lot of stuff, often because it’s cheaper to replace rather than repair it or we just don’t know how to fix it.

That’s where Repair Cafés come in! Together with our volunteers, you can have your broken items repaired instead of tossing them.*

We’ll be doing fixes for items such as:

Bikes
Clothing/textiles (repairs only, no alterations, please)
Computers (Virus/malware removal, file transfers, other basic repairs)
Electronics
Jewelry
Lamps
Small appliances (e.g., replacing cords on handmixers, toasters, irons, etc.)

*Limit of 1 item per turn and 3 items total. Stay for additional turns if volunteers are available to help.
If you’re someone who enjoys tinkering or problem-solving to get something working again or loves to organize, we’re looking for volunteers!

We’ll also have a free clothing swap–just bring your clean, gently used clothes to trade with others and refresh your wardrobe the FREE and sustainable way!
If you have surplus tools, such as screwdrivers, hammers, clamps, pliers, wrenches, drills and soldering equipment lying around taking up space, donate them to Re.Use.Full to use at upcoming Repair Cafés! Contact us at hello@reusefull.org to arrange for your donation."

#Mainecard is required/mobile card works fine. Frozen, refrigerated and non-perishable foods are available weekly. Personal care items are available in the first week of the month. Clothing, shoes and accessories are available FREE."

I’ve had a good, if tiring, day so far.

I went to a clothing swap called Fat Body Hotties despite my initial reluctance (I’ve been veryyyy tired all day) and had a great time and met so many amazing people. Then I tried Kopps Custard with Emerson and a friend of ours who came with, and Emerson and I are back home now. Also, a magazine I’ve submitted work to followed me back on TWO social media platforms, and according to another friend who’s worked with them, that’s a good sign that they might include something of mine in my next issue??? Aaaaaaaaa!! (happy screech)

My sibling is a prolific sewist and they're downsizing into a smaller apartment in a month... So I've suddenly inherited three HUGE bags of handmade clothing, some for me and some to share with local friends who appreciate handmade things. It's awesome to spot their makes around town, and it's amazing the range of shapes and sizes that one person's clothing can suit! (It helps that they sew almost entirely in knits and stretch fabric.) #sewing #ClothingSwap
