I would love if #FrameworkLaptop allowed us to customize the keyboard layout (and super key) before buying the keybord. It would be so awesome to have a #ColemakDH Framework laptop keyboard with a #linux super key!

Ok, I think this is the final form!

Dear #MechanicalKeyboards folks, I've decided to give up.
I've switched my #ErgoDash to #ColemakDH in mid October (see https://marcoxbresciani.codeberg.page/keyboards/ergodash/ergodash.html#ergodash---day-443- ) but I've never been a touch-typer and it's very difficult to find even 20 minutes per day for training (see https://www.keybr.com/profile/f5vmplt ).
While working I'm slowing down everyone, waiting for me typing and doing bunch of errors.
I don't think I'll continue: I'm updating my #QMK layers to go back to #QWERTY.
20+ years of QWERTY are hard to change.
My daily driver Reviung41, using the ZMK firmware on a nice!nano wireless micro controller. A fun but challenging build!
Ich habe mir viele Beispiele dazu angesehen, wie bzw. mit welchem Layout andere Nutzer ihr Split-Keyboard belegt haben. Auf der Basisebene habe ich mich für Colemak-DH entschieden.
http://colemakmods.github.io/mod-dh/keyboards.html
I still have to update my #ErgoDash online "diary", but I took another step into the #MechanicalKeyboards rabbit hole: today I've swapped my keycaps (these: https://ymdkey.com/products/107-dsa-profile-gray-orange-keycaps-for-id75-xd75-planck-preonic-niu40) to finally go with #ColemakDH (https://colemakmods.github.io/mod-dh/).
It's still not the default layer, and I'm not a touch-typer, but it's one click away when I turn on the PC, and it's about time to learn!
I'm sure I'll get crazy learning it, but... why not!? 😇
Hello #Colemak and #ColemakDH experts out there.
I would like to have your hints, ideas and guidelines on my thoughts.

The most famous layouts are English-based, but what if I want to create something based on Italian letters frequencies?

trying a new layout
I was even thinking to use #ngrams data from https://marcoxbresciani.codeberg.page/keyboards/ergodash/ergodash.html#org2ca8e47 but even if I have those numbers, I have no idea on how to use them to create a better #Italian-based #ColemakDH layout.
Also, is it worth it?
Hints? Ideas? Help!
Just hit 100+WPM on my #colemak dh keyboard after daily-driving it for 1.5 years! 🏆 I feel like I've crossed a finish line. #keeb #colemak #colemakdh #typing #electronics #keyboard
80 #wpm #typing #speed with #colemakDH, I'm more or less at the same speed I used to have with #workman (90wpm).
#colemakDH ~16 hours of active practise (keybr+monkeytype) over ~2 months = ~40wpm
(Thanks @webshinra for the push!)
Finished changing the switches on my #ergoDoxEZ and I am now rocking the clicky's. Should prevent some characters being entered by an errant finger, and sounds cool to boot.
Also changed my layout to #colemakDH as that's what I'm learning. I'm still on the first 5 keys, but having the layout there should help sink it in.
Liked the new and improved (or old and rebranded?) Linux Dev Time podcast from @LateNightLinux family. I've sent it to my son who's been struggling the last couple of weeks in year 2 at Uni with what suspiciously sounds like #burnout.
Funny that they mentioned having an #ergoDoxEZ #keyboard and needed time to re-learn how to type. Made me feel better that I'm still struggling. Might help if I didn't try to learn #colemakDH at the same time, but... https://traffic.libsyn.com/latenightlinux/LDT87.mp3
It's been a while since I've done a #monkeytype test, but it looks like my #ColemakDH skills are still been progressing!
#syncthing if I can drop my far pinky row on my corne I may end up building a #chocofi
Hadn't done a #monkeytype test in a while, and looks like my #ColemakDH #wpm is up to 56!! And with 95% accuracy. Pretty happy with the (gradual) progress.
#linux #opensuse tumbleweed does not have #colemak-dh keyboard layout 😞
