@pocketvj I find #calcurse not that bad. I use a combination of calcurse and #when (birthdays) to display upcoming events on my home screen (#conky).
So, ich denke, mein Desktop kann sich sehen lassen. Größtenteils sind die Anzeigen statisch, d. h.: Die Boxen links und rechts neben dem Wappen zeigen immer festgelegte Informationen an.
Einzig die Box unter dem Wappen ist dynamisch. Wenn kein Radiostream läuft, zeigt es die Laufzeit des Rechners an und welchen Linux-Kernel ich verwende. Läuft ein Radiostream, werden Radiosender, Artist und Titel angezeigt.

@user I usually start with the sample ones that come with #Conky or the gui config tool and then tinker with the settings.
This particular one I found on the #NovaspiritTech YouTube channel which was made by Don Hui who sadly passed away early 2025. It's not his original work as I tinkered with it a little but it's largely his work.
Did some more tweaking of my #Gnome set up on the #OrangePiRV2 #riscv #sbc. What y'all think? I dropped a few top bar widgets due to having #Conky displayed.
So far Gnome has been the most stable DE that I have tested. #Cinnamon Wayland not too far behind. X11 works but many applications/programs don't.
I have managed to break my #Linux system, because I used Font Manager to deactivate most of the pre-installed #fonts. I despise font cruft.
BUT, that means that the configuration files for the #fontconfig subsystem are not referencing any of the fonts I actually have installed and activated, so when I installed Font Awesome 6 for a particular #Conky config I downloaded, other applications started using Font Awesome as their default font for sans-serif.
