Saw some hyper critical reviews of the Fisket Ocean this week, most of which came down to software problems. Yet I’ve never seen reviews critical of the software in my Porsche Taycan, and it has just as many flaws, if not more.
This is the app this morning. Is it “just updated” or from 2 hours ago? It also failed to unlock remotely when I needed that. And, no, it’s not in an area with no signal.

Also, that device they recommend to "upgrade" the car only has an LTE radio in it, and seems to collect a lot of data about the car and how it is being driven too.
Probably better off just buying a standalone 5G hotspot and plugging it into a power outlet in the car when needed.
Um, AT&T Connected Car, I hate to disappoint you, but the Taycan does have WiFi and cellular. Sadly, on Verizon (who suck where I am), but I assume what this really means is I can't swap the SIM (or, more likely, replace the eSIM) with an AT&T one.
Time for car manufacturers to get smart about this. I know they see connectivity as another revenue stream, but do they really want to be locked to one provider?
