I honestly thought the UN CRPD – United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities* – was a dead certainty for incorporation into UK law
After all, the UK ratified the treaty in July 2009, under the last (New) Labour government, so it’s been a long time coming
But it seems that the enfeebled Labour opposition under Keir Starmer really don’t want to do anything the Tories wouldn’t do: https://www.disabilitynewsservice.com/labour-admits-dropping-disability-rights-pledge-from-policy-plan/
At least the Scottish Government have long made it clear that they intend to incorporate the CRPD north of the border (well, at least as far as devolved powers permit**): https://www.gov.scot/policies/disabled-people/uncrpd/
*Or in the UK, disabled people (social model)
**Not that those count for much any more, after Westminster has shown willingness to use the ‘nuclear’ Section 35 option to overrule the Scottish democratic process
