It came as no surprise to see from the Panorama documentary that the courier company Evri are seemingly run by a greedy and unscrupulous bunch of exploitative bean counters.
Grinding the maximum out of the (self employed of course) drivers for the minimum amount of pay they can get away with. It's still Hermes of course, just a rebrand for the UK, and the leopard has most certainly not changed its spots.

Dear courier companies. The letterbox is right there.

There is nowhere in this universe where this standard of "delivery" is considered acceptable. FIX IT! FFS - employ more drivers if they don't have time to do the job properly.🤦 Delivery would have been faster, and much less "couldn't be arsed" had it been chucked in the regular post. Probably cheaper, too.🤬

A parcel - approximately the same size as a card envelope and containing an item the size of a matchbox - has been dropped on the ground by the courier. The letterbox is empty, unlocked, big enough, and no more than 40cm from the parcel. My door is probably 15-20m away from the letterbox.

I doubt the courier even opened their van's door... Hopefully they slowed.

We can also see a home water meter inlet pipe, the trunk of a large gum tree, some natural bushland and leaf litter.

I'm not happy (understatement) with DHL.
Apparently they "couldn't access my address" this evening.
In truth I'm pretty sure the driver was running late and thought 'sod it, let's take this back to the depot'.

I've written to the sender, and filled in a comment on the DHL website - neither of which will result in any resolution.

I rarely have the courier issues other people report, so this is frustrating particularly as I thought DHL were on the reputable side of crap.

COURIERS: Stop asking "How did we do?" every single time you deliver something.

If the thing was delivered, congratulations, well done on participating, have a sticker. No medal because delivering things is your raison d'etre, after all. It's what we pay you for.

If it was damaged, broken, late or not delivered at all - THEN ask me how you did. I will gladly explain in short, easy to understand words.

I have a parcel due. Only one, although I have a few on order. Today, I've had updates from the seller, Star Track, Shippit, & Auspost, & still aren't 100% sure they're all for the same thing.

Shippit provides a map. No no no, not for live tracking my parcel, which would be really useful, & is completely doable (see Uber, Didi, etc). No, it appears to be showing me where *I* live. Phew. I was worried I'd forget.

Oh well, could be Couriers Please or [shudders] Aramex 😱

For those of you collecting reasons why Yodel has failed to deliver a parcel.... this one was new to me:

'We regret to inform you that our carrier experienced some delivery incidences with all the orders shipped the last few days of November and unfortunately it seems that your order was affected by this issue'....

Which means what I wonder; I have refund coming, but I wonder where the shipment is?
