One of my favorite things about #CrazyExGirlfriend is the depiction of exuberant female sexuality.
One of the supporting characters, a middle-aged woman, literally has a song called "The First Penis I Saw" where she sings about how excited she was about that experience. One of the best songs on the show, honestly.
As a very sexual woman, it feels pretty incredible to see women like me depicted on screen *from their own perspective*.
Now that Prodigy and Lower Decks have solidified the Star Trek multiverse, can we please have a musical special with characters across all series? Just think of the musical talent! And yes, I would kill/die to see Gabby Ruiz as a live action T'Lyn singing and dancing.🖖🏿

Rachel Bloom & the songwriters were brilliant, esp Adam Schlesinger, of Fountains of Wayne, . who wrote the song That Thing You Do.
He co-wrote 150 songs for #CrazyExGirlfriend
He died of complications of #COVID in 2020.

Watching “Crazy Ex Girlfriend” for the first time. Let’s see how long I resist before succumbing to the cringiness of BPD stigmatization.
I've already binged through it 3 times, so this time I just fast forwarded to just the songs, basically an episode of about 2 songs a day and this show still really holds up. It's a really good story about one person's internal life and the people she affects and who affect her. 📺 Crazy Ex-girlfriend is such a good show. It shows the really messy parts of life, but also the hopeful ones.

Haven't watched #CrazyExGirlfriend since it originally aired... it's strange, at the level of jokes/humour or acting it didn't even do that much for me, but I think it's the joyful creativity and absurdity of the musical numbers, and the overall plot of developing as a human being that really hooked me. I still have good memories of it as one of the only sitcoms that actually had something to say in the last decade.
#CrazyExGirlfriend also only streams in Canada on Paramount+ Canada? What a pity to lock away such a good show on a folly of a streaming platform that no one in this country subscribes to.
