『惑星都市理論』の読書会は今回で最終回となります。現在の都市に起こっていることについて、より詳しく、身近に見ていくための手がかりは何かないのか、という動機から始まりましたが、フィールド、テーマ、事例や、現在の都市研究の動向、都市理論についての紹介など、都市を見る上で、多岐にわたる材料が示されるものになったと思います。
取り上げる書籍を変えて、2023年度も「四ツ橋ブックサークル」（第2期）を開催したいと考えています。詳しいことは、改めて、ご案内しますので、しばらくお待ちください。

特に、現在の動向も踏まえて、具体的な場所や空間を踏まえた議論や介入がどこまで可能・有効なのか、国家や経済の役割、位置づけが「空間の生産」論の登場時より大きく変化しているのではないかということ、「抽象空間」の広がりも想定以上に進んでいるこを前提にして、都市を見ていく必要があるのではないか、という意見が出されました。

今回は、大城直樹「グレゴリーのルフェーヴル『空間の生産』論」を読みました。批判的地理学の成立には、ルフェーブルの『都市革命』や『空間の生産』が大きく寄与しているわけですが、その「空間の生産」論について、ルフェーブルの当初の問題意識や論点を振り返りつつ、90年代、2000年代のの都市についての議論も視野に入れて、批判的地理学に寄与した点や、展開・刷新されていった点、今回の読書会の底流にある「プラネタリーアーバニゼーション」との関わりついて議論しました。
